brandon rial’s “gifts of the spirit” opens may 1
BENSON – Ming Toy Gallery is pleased to host “Gifts of the Spirit: Paintings by Brandon Rial” during the month of May. The opening reception is Friday, May 1, from 6:00 to 9:00pm at 6066 Maple Street. (We’re right between Au Courant and Legend Comics and Coffee.)
“Gifts of the Spirit,” Rial’s debut solo exhibition, explores emotion and spiritual reflection through geometric abstraction, color and pattern. Each of the more than 40 works invites quiet reflection and is displayed on the gallery’s main floor and lower level.
Rial is the founder and creative director of Animorum, a creative communications firm based in Omaha. He believes visual art is an important part of design and public space beautification efforts and seeks to elevate public and private environments through his creations.
Rial attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Metropolitan Community College, focusing on fine arts and graphic design. He started painting on larger canvases in 2015 and began exhibiting in 2021.
“Gifts of the Spirit” is on display through May 30. Regular gallery hours are Wednesday and Friday from 1:00 to 6:00pm, Thursday from 3:00 to 8:00pm, Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm and by appointment (call or text 402.681.1901).
