Tait Exhibition Opens April 7
BENSON - Ming Toy Gallery is pleased to host Brian Tait's "Also Known As" during the month of April. The opening reception is Friday, April 7, from 6:00 to 9:00pm at 6066 Maple Street in Omaha in conjunction with Benson First Friday.
Tait's work reflects on the impacts of separation, loss and disconnection on our identities, unraveling the meaning of home, objects and familiarity. He uses found objects and recycled materials to create paintings, sculptures and installations embodying destruction and rebirth. Brian's works aim to explore the harsh realities of volatility and instability as well as optimism and resilience.
Attendees will be able to bid on each work for sale until Friday, April 28, at 3pm. At that time, the highest bidders will be able to pay for and take home the work.
If any work remains, it will be destroyed at the closing reception, which is set for April 28 from 7 to 9pm and will include music on the Polecat stage in the alley behind the gallery.
Ming Toy Gallery is open Wednesday and Friday from noon to 5pm, Saturday from 9am to 1pm and + appointment. Call or text 402.681.1901.
