BENSON - Ming Toy Gallery will kick off its 10th anniversary celebration Friday, June 6, with the opening of “Head Shot,” a new exhibition by JJ Carroll. The reception, which is free and open to the public, runs from 6:00 to 9:00pm at 6066 Maple Street in downtown Benson.
Carroll, a native of Omaha, is a graduate of The New School’s Parsons School of Design, one of the world’s leading art and design schools. He has owned and operated Choice Custom Framing and Gallery in Benson since 2012.
Carroll describes the exhibition as “gratuitive grace. Everyone wants to believe the best story in the room.”

The gallery rebranded and moved to its current location on Maple Street between Au Courant and Legend Comics & Coffee in early 2023.
“Head Shot” runs through June 28 at Ming Toy Gallery. Regular gallery hours are Wednesday and Friday from 1:00 to 6:00pm, Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00pm, Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm and by appointment (call or text 402.681.1901).
